If you are using Maxthon or Brave as a browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, you should know that these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse. The most common causes of this issue are: DP is statistically harder, that's a fact that you can't deny.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. I hope you all realize I've already acknowledged that Platinum is the more complete and even canon game, I'm just giving the OP a reason to debate this. So your own point went against you there as well. The game's base difficulty is (damn near) the same, it's the choice I made that affected it to an extent.Įdit: Oh and on the note of movesets, I did mention Cynthia having a more competitive moveset in DP vs. Obviously not, because that was a choice I made. Bulbasaur in LeafGreen? (The first two gyms are easy for a Bulbasaur vs. Is FireRed harder than LeafGreen just because I chose Charmander in FireRed vs. Must I seriously name every notable character or do you get it by now? The game in essence is harder, your choices in-game and playstyle will effect that. You can't compare apples to oranges, meaning comparing a playthrough of grinding on DP to one with the lack of grinding in Pl.Ĭynthia's team is harder. That doesn't make the game itself easier or harder. There's plenty of things you can do to make it easier or harder on you. If you grind, that's an optional choice you made to make the game easier, not unlike how there's an optional choice to play a Nuzlocke to make the game harder. Platinum without grinding and there's your answer, DP is harder, and that's just one reason why it is. In any practical situation, a higher level is more dangerous, a level 50 Groudon with its typical movesets is going to be a lot less of a threat than a level 100 with the same moveset.Īnd the game doesn't force you to grind, as a matter of fact, many people including myself don't like grinding. ![]() You try to make an example to prove me wrong but it doesn't work, there's special circumstances at work. A level 100 Darkrai that only knows Dream Eater wouldn't be hard to kill either, would it? Nor would an Arceus that knows only Hone Claws. It can't hurt you anyways, there's a big exception to your example. In practice, no, the Magikarp isn't hard because it's not a threat. Do you understand Pokemon? Everytime you level up the base stats increase by 0-5ish. That Magikarp has higher base stats than a level 10 Magikarp would. He was a "hard" boss, unlike the Y boss, who only had the illusion of being hard. He outspeeds your Zekrom/Reshiram, has dragon pulse to kill them, and had other excellent coverage moves. My point about ghetsis' hydreigon is that it actually requires you to think. It simply had the illusion of being hard thanks to the constant grinding. But after i finished my grinding, and i'm exactly at the same levelas the boss, and i instantly one-shotted him, the game wasn't "hard" at all. It simply makes it more tedious/annoying/inconvenient for me. If, for exemple, i was underlevelled at one point in X game, and i have to fight Y boss in that point, and since i'm underlevelled, i obviously have to do a lot of grinding, but that doesn't make the game "harder". He was a "hard" boss because it required you to think of good strategies to beat him, and even if you grinding a lot before facing I'm awaiting your response.Ĭlick to expand. You're missing the entire point of my post. To back up my statement, look up BW2 Challenge Mode and get back to me on what effects it has on the gameplay. That's why, you know, the Pokemon League levels up on rematches, so that it's harder. Last time I checked, higher levels = more difficult. ![]() Gen IV was one I clocked the most hours on, I know what I'm talking about. This, combined with her DP's more fierce movesets and the fact that DP has less trainer battles, means you get to Cynthia much more underleveled in DP than in Platinum. ![]() Well I can already tell you haven't read anything else I've said on here.Īll her Pokemon drop between 2-4 levels, with her team dropping an average of 2.833 levels. ![]()
